The Society of Manufacturing Engineers Chapter 98 invites you to our February Tour of General Foundry Service: Custom Cast & Machined Aluminum Components

 Agenda: 

12:00nn - Light Lunch (provided by General Foundry Service)
12:30pm - 12:45pm:  Introductions of Attendees/Short Overview of General Foundry Service
12:45pm - 2:30pm:  Tours (12-15 per guide)

We will be touring the following departments:

- Patternmaking
- Precision (Green) Sand Foundry
- No Bake (Air-Set) Foundry
- Permanent Mold Area
- Rubber Plaster Molding (RPM) Foundry
- Cleaning Room (Filing, Grinding, Straightening, Heat-Treating)
- Machine Shop
- Inspection
- Shipping


Safety glasses are required (glasses will be provided if attendees do not have a pair).  Hearing protection is not required, but will be provided if requested.   No open toe shoes are allowed.  Dress appropriately for a heavy manufacturing facility.

Networking follows after the tour.
